Achill Island

A visit to Achill Island is not to be missed! Easily accessible by road bridge from the beautiful Currane peninsula and only one hour drive from Castlebar, Achill is Ireland’s largest offshore island and encompasses dramatic land and seascapes which have provided inspiration for artists and writers for many years. The island has glorious cliff scenery, spectacular drives and walks and beautiful blue flag beaches. Achill is home of many archaeological and historical sites such as the famous Deserted Village at Slievemore and Kildamhnait Castle.
