Hastings Castle

Originally a prefabricated wooden castle built in September 1066, making it the first Norman motte-and-bailey castle in Britain, William the Conqueror ordered that it be rebuilt in stone after his victory at the Battle of Hastings. The 1066 story at Hastings Castle lets you walk around the ruins, explore the dungeons, and enter the medieval siege tent to enjoy history about the castle. (Please note that the entrance price is not included in the quote as it is payable on the day).
