Ipswich

Ipswich is England’s oldest continuously settled Anglo-Saxon town. It has a long and proud history dating back more than 1,500 years. The town was awarded its Royal Charter by King John in 1200 and for centuries Ipswich was a major port and built fighting ships for the Crown.
