Portsmouth Historic Dockyard

The Historic Dockyard offers a fantastic 6 attractions in 1 ticket. The unique attractions include the chance to board Lord Nelson’s flagship Battle of Trafalgar warship the HMS Victory. The 1860 HMS Warrior was one of the first iron clad ships which is now open for full exploration. Recently opened is the incredible opportunity to view the remains of Henry VIII’s warship the Mary Rose which sunk in 1545. The ship was recovered from the sea bed in the 1980s where it sat beneath the sandy sea bed – beautifully preserved the ship was raised and has undergone a preservation programme which was completed in 2013. The ship can now be viewed in its new museum along with thousands of artefacts also recovered from the seabed. The Dockyard also has a naval museum, a harbour tour and Action stations which offers child-friendly interactive experiences.
