Day 1: Epworth
On the first full day the group travel north to Epworth and first visit the church where Wesley’s father was minister. This includes seeing Wesley's Mother's chair and the tomb where Wesley famously preached. Next the group travel on to visit the Wesley House Museum, the fine Georgian rectory which is an excellent museum and tea shop.
A longer Methodist programme can include: - London – Bunhill Fields, Wesley House, Wesley Museum, London Christian heritage - Newcastle – we gather a new Wesley Heritage centre is being developed - Bristol – the other point on the 'Wesley Triangle' which includes Charles Wesley's House and the New Room (John Wesley's Chapel).
